Our Story

Sadhbarg started in Lahore with a simple idea: to make clothes that feel current, but still have a sense of where they come from.

In many ways, the House of Sadhbarg began with an actual house.

The childhood home of our Creative Director, Saad Faysal's grandmother, with its large wooden doors, marble floors and a garden filled with marigolds, holds some of the earliest memories behind the brand. The marigolds that grew there eventually gave Sadhbarg its name.

Family photographs from the 90s were another influence. The way people dressed, the silhouettes, the colours and the confidence with which they carried themselves stayed with Saad and later found their way into Sadhbarg.

But it has never been about recreating the past. It's about taking those memories and reimagining them for now.

A lot of what we do begins with things around us. Lahore, old photographs, travel, art, architecture, nature, people on the street, or sometimes simply a colour or a fabric we can't stop thinking about. We don't necessarily take these references literally. They become a starting point and, somewhere along the way, turn into something of our own.

That's why every Sadhbarg collection can feel quite different from the last. We like that.

Some are nostalgic, some are playful, some are quieter and some are made to get you noticed. But there's usually something that connects them: strong colour, interesting prints, dreamy silhouettes, and details that make a piece feel a little unexpected.

We also think a lot about the person wearing the clothes. We don't want to tell you exactly how something should be styled or where it should be worn. A dress can be for dinner or a random Tuesday afternoon. A skirt can be worn as we styled it, or with something you've owned for years.

Many of our pieces can also be customised in colour, length or fit, because sometimes you love a piece but want it slightly differently.

Made With Thought

As Sadhbarg has grown, we've become more conscious of how we make things too. Much of our production is made to order, allowing us to be more considered about what we produce.

We also look for ways to work with what we already have, whether that's reusing fabrics or finding a new purpose for materials left behind from previous production.

It's something we're continuing to learn from and build on as the brand grows.

Threads of the Wild | Sadhbarg x WWF-Pakistan

Our relationship with nature has always found its way into Sadhbarg through prints, colours, motifs and the places that inspire our collections.

Threads of the Wild, created in collaboration with WWF-Pakistan, gave us an opportunity to take that relationship a little further.

The collaboration centred around the conservation of Pakistan's Common Leopard and included pieces designed specifically for the project. The potli bag was created using leftover fabric from our production, while 10% of proceeds from the collaboration were committed to WWF-Pakistan's conservation efforts.

For us, the collaboration was about more than putting two names together. It was a way to connect something that inspires our work with something worth protecting.

And hopefully, it's only the beginning.

Still Becoming

Sadhbarg is still changing, and we don't really see the brand ever arriving at one fixed look.

It will continue to take inspiration from where we come from, while changing with the people who wear it.

Made in Lahore, and made to be worn your way.
